Terms and Conditions

  • The Recognising Ramanujan competition is open to all students who are currently in class 6, 7, 8 or 9 for the academic year 2024-25 in any school.
  • Students must take the test online on their personal smartphones or personal computers. Countingwell will not provide any hardware to the students participating in the test.
  • Some questions may carry negative marks. Which questions carry negative marks, will not be disclosed to the test takers.
  • Top 150 students in each category (Junior and Senior) who score above 80% marks are eligible for prizes. Students who are not in top 150 in their category or who score under 80% marks, will not be eligible for prizes.
  • It is the Students and School’s responsibility to ensure that they enter the school code correctly on the Countingwell app in order to be linked with the school. Entering the school code is recommended, but not compulsory.
  • Schools must ensure that their students do not misrepresent their grades or any other information. If a student misrepresents the grade, the school is liable to be disqualified from winning any prize.
  • Students must have their own high speed internet connection to participate in the test.
  • Countingwell will not be responsible for students not being able to complete the test for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to lack of infrastructure, slow internet speeds, device issues etc.
  • The test must be taken by the registered user alone. We expect the student to follow an honour code and to not cheat, take outside assistance or have anyone impersonate her/him during the test. Should we become aware of such acts, the student will be immediately disqualified.
  • The student may take the test only once. If they are found to have taken the test more than once, they will be disqualified.
  • The test will be conducted on the specified date and time. Students must complete the test within the stipulated time. Should the student leave the test mid-way, they will not be able to attempt it again.
  • The prerequisite for appearing in the test is to complete a the refresher course on the countingwell app. Selected students will be notified of their qualification to the test. The final qualification of students will be made by countingwell.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances including your inability to take the test for any reason whatsoever.
  • Countingwell will attempt to notify qualified students by in-app notification, SMS and any other means possible. It is up to the student to provide correct contact information in order to be able to be notified of their qualification.
  • Final winners and their prizes will be announced on or before 5 Dec 2024. Students may check back on their app or the countingwell website for their status.
  • Immediate (blood) relatives of employees of Countingwell, and its contractors who were involved in developing the scholarship test are not eligible to participate in the test.
  • The test will be conducted in English language and is related to mathematics. Countingwell does not guarantee the alignment of the questions with a specific text book, syllabus or curriculum. However, the content will be largely aligned with the NCERT’s curriculum for the respective classes.
  • Each student may get different questions during the test, to align with their Grade and to avoid potential plagiarism. The questions are chosen randomly by a computer program and no dispute on the questions, its order or content will be entertained under any circumstances. The creation and selection of questions and its evaluation rests solely with Countingwell.
  • The algorithms to evaluate the performance of students in the test is proprietary and developed by Countingwell. Details of the algorithm are a trade secret and will not be disclosed under any circumstances.
  • Student winners will be selected on the basis of accuracy and time.
  • The selection of winners is at the sole discretion of Countingwell. Countingwell will make its best efforts to ensure that the selection is free and fair to all participants. Winner selection is based on high scores in the scholarship test in the respective category (grade) and the shortest time taken, among other factors.
  • We will make up to 3 attempts by either in-app notification or WhatsApp to notify the winners. Should the winners be unreachable or their contact information inaccurate, they will be considered as disqualified.
  • Top scoring students may be required to undergo a video interview and further verification before winners are declared. Students may also be randomly selected for such an interview / verification. If this is required, we will get in touch with such students Refusal to do so, will lead to immediate disqualification from the competition and may be treated as an act of malpractice. You will not be eligible for a refund of participation fee if you are disqualified.
